Awe Venice! This handmade Venice bag is one of the ways to remind me that I would love to visit Venice on a future date. This Hoffman Venice Wanderlust panel hit that mark for me. A friend of mine saw my bag made with this print and wanted a different size and shape for herself. I loved the collaboration between us to make this bag come true for both of us.
I had to cut the panel to fit the size she wanted. It became somewhat of a puzzle to figure out where exactly to cut it and still have the charm of the panel come through on both sides.
The front has a magnetic clasp pocket. You can see my hand showing this.
Inside there is another Venice print from Robert Kaufman. A very different print but the colors go beautifully.
This is a batik print that went beautifully with all the teal colors of the purse.
This is my original bag that is very large showing the panel middle where I could show off the whole of Venice here. I have started a smaller one of this style. It will be up for sale on my Etsy store after I finish it.
If you have other ideas on how to make one of these I would love to here about it in the comments below. If you also would love to have a custom bag out of this panel please comment below. I would be happy to get back to you.
